Family Reunification in Spain for Iranian Citizens
Once you have established residency in Spain, you can bring your spouse, children, and in some cases your parents from Iran to Spain. Iranian family documents (birth certificate, marriage certificate) must go through consular legalization before they can be submitted.
Spouse or Partner
Income, housing, and document requirements for bringing your spouse from Iran.
Minor Children
Bringing children under 18, including cases where one parent remains in Iran.
Parents (Ascendientes)
The stricter requirements for bringing elderly parents who depend on the resident.
Since Iran is not a member of the Apostille Convention, an Iranian birth certificate and marriage certificate must be legalized (legalizado) through the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and then the consular section of the Spanish Embassy, and officially translated into Spanish. This step is usually the most time-consuming part of a family reunification file.
